“It seems like only yesterday that the corrupt Democrat Party was loudly insisting that the people who lost their insurance policies under ObamaCare were a bunch of “red herrings” and “Chicken Littles,” to quote two phrases they employed during congressional hearings. They claimed the problem of insurance cancellations under ObamaCare was wildly inflated. When that didn’t work any more, they reverted to the cold default argument of socialism, and claimed the “losers” of ObamaCare – the people who believed Barack Obama’s Big Lie about being able to keep their insurance plans – were mere collateral damage, acceptable losses during the Great Health Care Leap Forward. They made loud, false claims that the plans lost to the Affordable Care Act were junk policies that consumers were foolish to have bought in the first place.

They even tried rewriting history and claiming Obama had always said… or meant… or silently believed in his heart… this would always happen. The Democrats even tried arguing that it was our fault for accepting the plain meaning of Obama’s words, when we should have read the bill none of them read before voting on it and understood that he was, shall we say, de-emphasizing certain unattractive truths. We should have known better, even though the massed ranks of the media closed in around Obama like a Praetorian guard of propaganda. We should have ignored the billion-dollar “news” racket and read the Affordable Care Act ourselves, cover to cover, discovering with our own eyes that millions of people were going to lose their coverage, no matter what Barack Obama said. We should have known his Health and Human Services Department would later issue regulations that made his promises of “grandfathering” existing new policies into the system functionally meaningless. The hot new lefty talking point became “Obama mis-spoke,” but what they really meant was, “You mis-heard him.”

All of these dodges, evasions, excuses, and lies piled atop lies flickered past in the space of just a few weeks. You can tell it didn’t work because top Democrats are swan-diving off the high rails of the Titanic, abandoning those old talking points like so much rubbish left behind in their staterooms. Yesterday it was Bill Clinton bailing on Obama and calling for legislation that would force Obama to live up to the Big Lie, by allowing people to keep their existing insurance plans. Now it’s Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) – another one of the power-mad Democrats who was proud to vote on ObamaCare without reading it, and now wants to throw her weight behind the bill introduced by terrified Democrat Mary Landrieu of Louisiana to protect existing insurance policies.” —John Hayward

Doug Ross @ Journal

In a single paragraph, a commenter destroys the National Journal’s Matthew Cooper and his ‘no voting fraud’ fantasies

Writing at the hard left National Journal, someone named “Matthew Cooper” (if that is his real name), proffers the insane notion that vote fraud really isn’t a concern in the U.S.

…voter-ID laws generally represent an answer in search of a problem. There just isn’t much evidence of voter fraud…

…Civil-rights groups have been apoplectic about these laws, saying that they are discriminatory. And they would seem to have a pretty good case, as there’s no fraud epidemic and those who would have the hardest time complying with the law are poor and minorities. That’s because minorities and the poor are much less likely to have the kind of government-issued photo IDs that some states require…

Commenter Raphael Semmes shreds Cooper’s nonsense:

This article makes me lose respect for your publication. Most democracies in the world require a photo voter ID, and it is part and parcel of democracy. I have personally been an accredited international election observers in six foreign elections where the country had long required photo ID to vote. There was no suggestion at any time from ANY side that this produced any ”vote suppression” whatsoever. What it produced was an honest vote. Republicans are quite right to protect our election process, and Democrats are scoundrels to demagogue this issue. I have also worked in an election campaign, in the 4th district of North Carolina in 1972, where the election was stolen by voter fraud, so I get the fact that this is a problem that needs to be corrected.

It would seem Cooper missed the story about the “Mississippi NAACP leader sent to prison for 10 counts of voter fraud.”

And the fact that more than 50 people employed by or linked with ACORN have been convicted of voter fraud.

During the 2008 election cycle alone, ACORN was linked to as many as 600,000 bogus voter registrations. Combined with their tactics of encouraging early voting and use of absentee ballots, it is an indisputable fact that ACORN was and is responsible for widespread election fraud.

17 seconds using Google would have allowed an honest journalist to investigate vote fraud (the elections of JFK and LBJ being archetypes of Democrat vote fraud).

But because this is National Journal — and some hack named “Matthew Cooper” — we’re talking about, any connection to the truth is purely coincidental.

Related: If you read the list of things you need an ID to do, you would — if you had an ounce of intellectual honesty — admit that the entire bogus voter ID controversy is about one thing: the Democrats’ insatiable desire to destroy the integrity of the ballot box.

MULTIPLE REPORTS: Scores of Mentally Ill, Institutionalized Patients Coaxed Into Voting for Obama

Crackpot Preppers

And I mean the truly mentally ill and incapacitated, not just run-of-the-mill Democrats.

…I was not prepared for a conversation I had at Thanksgiving dinner with my brother-in-law, Henry, who has lived most of his life in a home for the mentally disabled and although now in his 40s, has the intelligence level of a 6-year-old.

“Obama saved me,” he said to me out of the blue.

“What do you mean?”

“I voted for him for president and now he’s saving me.”

I was taken aback by these words, since Henry had no idea who Obama was, or what a president might be, and would be unable to fill out a registration form let alone get to the polling place by himself.

So I asked him how he knew that and how he had registered and cast his vote. In halting, impeded speech he told me that the people who take care of him at the home filled out “the papers” to register him to vote, told him how Obama cared for him, even taught him the Obama chants, and then took him to the polling place to vote. They did the same for all of the mentally disabled patients in their care, approximately 60 in all.

Had today’s report been the only such example, one could probably chalk it up to hyperbole. But there are others:

The father of a mentally handicapped woman claims his daughter and others were “carted off” to a North Carolina polling site last week and “coaxed” into voting for President Obama by workers of the group home where she stays — a claim the owner of the home disputes and that apparently has not yet triggered an investigation by election officials.

The father, Cecil Pearson, said his daughter – who is 40 but has the “mentality … of a 7-year-old” – was “brainwashed the night before” and then taken to a Roanoke Rapids polling site on Friday to vote. He said his daughter told him what happened when he picked her up on Sunday.

“They brought her a piece of paper and they indicated which block to check,” Pearson [said,] “She voted for Barack Obama and was coaxed into doing that.” He claimed “more than four” people were brought to the site.

Including this one:

Jimmy Green’s stepdaughter had never voted before. The 57-year-old is mentally disabled, and Green said she doesn’t understand the concept of casting a ballot.

But this week, she called her parents to say she had voted for President Obama. The care home in Fayetteville where she lives registered its residents to vote and drove them to the polls, Green said…

“My concern is that somebody told her who to vote for,” he said. “She didn’t even know there’s two different parties.”

Such an orchestrated, systematized process to corrupt the voting process begs the question: are there any Democrats left who possess virtue and integrity?

DESPERATION: Obama campaign now equating voting with sex

You can just smell their fear. I refer, of course, to the Obama campaign’s latest vagina monologue — in this case, trying to liken the act of sexual intercourse to voting.

Your first time shouldn’t be with just anybody. You want to do it with a great guy. Someone with beautiful… Someone who really cares about and understands women. Someone who cares whether you get health insurance. Who cares whether you get birth control…

Actually, if this particular specimen is my only choice, I’ll choose abstinence. To paraphrase Moonlighting, I’m gonna have to take a rain-check on the Tang, honey.
