Federal Snipers Train Guns on Family For Filming Cattle: “Outside the Bounds of Designated First Amendment Area”

Editor’s Note: This is what it has come to. Paul Joseph Watson of Infowars explains.

Federal snipers with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) trained guns on members of a family yesterday after they dared to stop and take video footage of cattle outside the bounds of a designated “First Amendment Area,” before arresting one of the men for non-compliance.

The cattle were being rounded up by BLM officers as part of a crackdown on Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, who has refused to pay “grazing fees” demanded by the feds as a result of a re-classification of 600,000 acres of federal land in northeastern Clark County which Bundy claims has been in his family for generations.

Some fear the dispute could turn into a Ruby Ridge-style violent standoff because Bundy has said he is prepared to become a martyr for what he perceives as a constitutional stance against tyranny.

As we reported earlier, the feds have now started rounding up Bundy’s cattle in the name of protecting a supposedly endangered species, the desert tortoise, forbidding Bundy from interfering or even entering the vast area. The case is quickly turning into another iconic battle between big government and a besieged family.

Fears that the confrontation may turn violent and concerns that Bundy is drawing increased support from liberty activists and the local community prompted the feds to tape off two ridiculous “First Amendment Areas,” outside of which free speech in support of Bundy is banned. A sign placed inside the area reads “Welcome to Amerika – Wake Up” alongside a hammer and sickle logo.

When Bundy’s family members violated that rule yesterday in an attempt to peacefully document the cattle roundup, they were met with a barrage of loudspeaker warnings and four BLM snipers with their guns trained on the dissenters.

“Several members of the family had gone out for a drive in several vehicles to try to monitor the ongoing federal action to remove their father’s cattle from the range,” reports the Moapa Valley Progress. “They were not travelling on recently restricted federal land, but were travelling along the state highway looking north across the valley for signs of cattle, Ryan Bundy said.”

“He was doing nothing but standing there and filming the landscape,” Bundy said of his brother Dave. “We were on the state highway, not even off of the right-of-way. Even if they want to call [the area that we were filming] federal land; which it’s not; we weren’t even on it. We were on the road.”

None of the family members were armed, but as soon as Dave Bundy began filming the cattle in the distance, 11 BLM vehicles each with two agents arrived and surrounded him.

“They also had four snipers on the hill above us all trained on us. We were doing nothing besides filming the area,” said Ryan Bundy.

The family were told to leave the area via loudspeaker because they had violated the crudely established “First Amendment Area”.

“They said that we had no first amendment rights except for up by the bridge where they had established an area for that,” Bundy said.

When Dave Bundy didn’t immediately heed the warning and return to his vehicle, a dog was set on him and he was subsequently arrested.

“He was filming and talking on the phone, I don’t know to whom,” Ryan Bundy said. “It happened pretty fast. They came down on him hard and had a German Shepherd on him. And then they took him.”

When Dave Bundy’s father Cliven attempted to contact emergency response in both Mesquite and for Metro in an attempt to discover the whereabouts of his son, he was told to, “get off the phone or he would be arrested,” according to Ryan Bundy.

Should the Bundy case escalate any further, what has up to this point remained a largely local news story threatens to explode into a national controversy – re-igniting resentment over big government and a federal bureaucracy increasingly trampling on the rights of the American people to be left alone.

SHTF Plan – When It Hits The Fan, Don’t Say We Didn’t Warn You

Why did a CNN anchor just call Iran nuclear deal a “train wreck”?

CNN's Fareed Zakaria interviews Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

CNN’s Fareed Zakaria interviews Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

“In an interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani forcefully asserted that Iran would not destroy its nuclear centrifuges ‘under any circumstances,’” reports the Washington Beacon. “Rouhani’s comments come just days after the U.S. and Iran began to implement a deal which the White House claims will scale back Iran’s nuclear program. The Obama administration claims the goal of the deal is to prevent a nuclear Iran, yet Rouhani’s comments show Iran views the deal much differently.”

“Reacting to Rouhani’s position, Zakaria told CNN that the Iranian President’s comments struck him as a ‘train wreck,’” the Beacon reported.

“This strikes me as a train wreck. This strikes me as a huge obstacle because the Iranian conception of what the deal is going to look like and the American conception now look like they are miles apart,” Zakaria said.

Below is a full transcript of the exchange:

HASSAN ROUHANI: So in the context of nuclear technology, particularly of research and development and peaceful nuclear technology, we will not accept any limitations. And in accordance with the parliament law, in the future, we’re going to need 20,000 mega watts of nuclear produced electricity and we’re determined to get it at the hands of our Iranian scientists. And we are going to follow on this path.

FAREED ZAKARIA: So there would be no destruction of centrifuges?

ROUHANI: Not under any circumstances. Not under any circumstances.

CHRIS CUOMO: I mean, Fareed, what is the deal? That’s supposed to be the whole underpinning of moving forward from the United States perspective is that they scale back, they dismantle, all this stuff we’ve been hearing. How do you interpret what you just heard from the president?

ZAKARIA: Well, I was as struck by it as you were, Chris. This strikes me as a train wreck. This strikes me as potentially a huge obstacle because the Iranian conception of what the deal is going to look like and the American conception now look like they are miles apart. The Iranian conception seems to be they produce as much nuclear energy as they want, but it is a civilian program and you can have as much monitoring and inspections as you want. The American position is that they have to very substantially scale back the enrichment of uranium and the production of centrifuges. For the first time you have the president of Iran unequivocally saying there will be no destruction of centrifuges. He also made clear in the interview with me that the two heavy water reactors would continue in operation. So this seems like — you know, this is stillborn — I’m not even quite sure what they’re going to talk about if these are the opening positions. And it’s very hard to walk back from as absolutist a position as the president of Iran laid out.

THE DUPLICITOUS CHRIS CHRISTIE: Man Who Refused to Oppose Obamacare Now Says It Was ‘A Train Wreck Anybody Could’ve Seen Coming’

Anybody could have seen it was a train wreck except him, apparently.

New Jersey’s Republican Governor Chris Christie slammed Obamacare as a “train wreck” in comments made at a Jersey radio station on November 25.

…Christie was asked why he didn’t join in on the state side and create a state exchange for Obamacare in New Jersey.
“This is just an awful law that made no sense and that’s why I didn’t get into a state exchange. And no, I have absolutely no regrets. In fact, I’m really glad that the train wreck’s not mine, it’s his,” the Governor said of Obama’s signature healthcare law.

Christie went on to slam the President as an example of someone who has never run anything in his life.
“This is a disaster. And it’s a train wreck that anybody who’s managed anything, ever in their lives could have seen coming.”
Governor Christie also said that the whole Obamacare program is a “failure.”

Christie’s comments are, at best, disingenuous.

This is a man who wouldn’t lift a finger to fight Obamacare, as Mark Levin observed at the time.

It costs nothing for the taxpayers of NJ to join the other states challenging Obamacare. All he needs to do is add his name on behalf of NJ to the other states. He didn’t take the lead and now he won’t bring up the rear. And just because Corzine ducked doesn’t mean he has to. For all the loud bravado, on this hugely important issue he’s a wimp. While others are doing all they can to kill Obamacare, spending the time and effort in federal court trying to protect the citizens of their states, Christie does nothing…

…Keep in mind that Obamacare creates massive new expenses for states via Medicaid. It’s fiscally irresponsible for Christie to sit on his butt and do nothin. Is this what they mean by frank talk? Maybe his supporters inside the beltway can help us better understand while they’re touting him for president.

I can’t wait for the 2016 election season to heat up.

Then we can hear the nation’s biggest electoral loser of 2012 — Karl “2% Victory Rate” Rove — whine that Christie is “the only one who can win”.

Which will be as accurate as his predictions about Mitt Romney in 2012 and John McCain in 2008.

The Merry Band of Chuck Schumer Republicans Keep Pushing the Amnesty Train Down the Tracks

I’ve got a very basic question for Marco Rubio, John McCain and the rest of the Schumer Republicans: why pass any new immigration law when the current administration won’t enforce our existing laws?

Daniel Horowitz at RedState briefs us on the latest Amnesty news from Capitol Hill:

The Senate just voted 82-15 to proceed with debate on the amnesty/immigration deform bill. Every Democrat voted yes, laying waste to the notion that there are still moderate red state Democrats. 15 Republicans voted to stand with We the People against the La Raza foreign lobby/K Street juke box:

Barrasso, Boozman, Crapo, Cruz, Enzi, Grassley, Inhofe, Kirk, Lee, Risch, Roberts, Scott, Sessions, Shelby, Vitter

McCain, Murkowski, and Coburn were not present for the vote. The former two would have voted for it anyway. [Update: Coburn voted yes on the second procedural motion to proceed.]

The rest of the Republicans, led by Mitch McConnell, all voted to proceed with debate, thereby sealing the fate of the bill and ensuring that a phony cosmetic compromise is hatched to pass the bill and pressure the House.

We will hear a lot of statements about the need to proceed with debate in order to “strengthen” the bill. It’s akin to advocating for debate on Obamacare so we can fix the beast. This bill is beyond fixing, and even if there was a way to fix it, Democrats along with McConnell and Cornyn have made it clear that their idea of tweaking the bill is strengthening the enforcement after legalization. Rubio actually plans to offer amendments to place provisions in the bill that he originally claimed were a part of the legislation to begin with (the Zuckerberg ads still tout that original speech).

We will hear the establishment say that the status quo is unacceptable. Yes, the status quo of constant amnesty before enforcement is unacceptable. But just because the status quo is bad doesn’t mean we should make it worse just for the purpose of passing “something.” By that same logic, we should have passed Obamacare because there were problems with our current healthcare system. The status quo of Obama promulgating cap and trade regulations by executive fiat is unacceptable, so we need to pass a compromise cap and trade bill to fix the problem.

Now that we have brought the amnesty-first supporters out of the shadows, we need to call the following members and ask them what part of enforcement first don’t they understand:

Alexander (R-TN)
Ayotte (R-NH)
Blunt (R-MO)
Burr (R-NC)
Chambliss (R-GA)
Chiesa (R-NJ)
Coats (R-IN)
Cochran (R-MS)

Coburn (R-OK)
Collins (R-ME)
Corker (R-TN)
Cornyn (R-TX)
Fischer (R-NE)

Flake (R-AZ)
Graham (R-SC)
Hatch (R-UT)
Heller (R-NV)
Hoeven (R-ND)
Isakson (R-GA)
Johanns (R-NE)
Johnson (R-WI)
McConnell (R-KY)
Moran (R-KS)

Murkowski (R-AK)
Paul (R-KY)
Portman (R-OH)
Rubio (R-FL)
Thune (R-SD)
Toomey (R-PA))
Wicker (R-MS)

Remember, Alexander, McConnell, Cochran, Graham, and Cornyn are up for reelection.

As we noted yesterday, it is quite evident that Democrats have 60 votes to pass any amnesty bill. They are aiming to work with McConnell and Cornyn to insert one or two shiny objects into the bill, so they can bring along another 15-20 Republicans into the fold. This way they will have the GOP share in the blame of another failed amnesty, and place enormous pressure on the House to jump off the cliff instead of following the prudent enforcement-first approach of the House Judiciary Committee – a position supported by the vast majority of the country.

To add insult to injury, we discovered today — thanks to Judicial Watch — that the Department of Homeland Security isn’t even performing rudimentary background checks on those illegals impacted by the Obama “DREAM Act”. You may remember the Obama “DREAM Act”; it was the Executive Action the president engaged in extra-constitutionally because a Democrat Congress wouldn’t pass the real DREAM Act. Remember “If Congress doesn’t act, I will”?

So instead of sane policies like securing the border, our ruling elites — with but a few exceptions — simply pass more laws and regulations that are certain to be ignored by the Executive Branch. Millions of more poverty-stricken, poorly educated, undocumented Democrats will come “out of the shadows” and jump to the front of the line behind the legal immigrants who are trying to follow the process.

I say no more. Nothing passes. Nothing. Not until we have border security. Call and write your nearest Senators using the list above.

Tell them in no uncertain terms: don’t pass any Amnesty laws when our current immigration laws are being ignored by a lawless administration.

Teachers Train To Take Down School Shooters: “Tragedy Wakes You Up”

In what has become the nation’s first ever Armed Teacher Training Program, two dozen teachers selected from a pool of 1,400 applicants spent three days learning basic gun use, tactical maneuvers, and strategies for taking down crazed maniacs who may attempt to attack local schools.

Jim Irvine, chairman of the Buckeye Firearm Association, said arming teachers is the best way to stop more mass murders, and gun control can’t help.

“Gun control is purely political and has no place in this conversation,” Irvine said.

This is why the Buckeye Firearm Foundation, a nonprofit with the association, paid $ 30,000 for 24 Ohio educators to learn how to react to a shooter in a school.

The program was organized after the December shooting in a Newtown, Conn., school that took the lives of 20 children and six staff members.

Deanna, an elementary-school teacher from central Ohio who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said she doesn’t know if she would have taken the training course had the Newtown massacre not occurred.

“Tragedy wakes you up,” she said.

Deanna said she feels better prepared to fend off a classroom shooter, but she does not think all teachers should have guns.

“This isn’t just, ‘Let’s bring in teachers and train them, and then everyone’s going to be able to carry a gun,’ ” Deanna said.

This is the only teacher-training program of its kind in the country, but school workers from across the nation have asked about future training classes, Irvine said.

Columbus Dispatch

Staff Heavily Armed

Disarming law abiding citizens through gun confiscation will not stop a psychopathic mass murderer.

A gun in the hands of a trained individual will.
