I will be speaking at a major conference in New York City this week on the future of Israel. Please join us.

WebSaveTheDate.inddPrime Minister Netanyahu has just arrived in the United States. He will meet with the President and top U.S. leaders in Washington. He will also address the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday.

Then, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday – October 3rd through the 5th – I am honored to be participating in a major conference in New York City focused on “The People, The Land, and The Future of Israel.”

Some of the leading theologians in the Western world on the subject of Biblical and prophetic Israel will be speaking. Among the questions we will be addressing:

  • What does the Bible teach about the role of the Jewish people and the nation of Israel at the present time?
  • What is God’s plan for the future of Israel and her neighbors?
  • How can believers in Jesus be part of God’s peace process in the Middle East?

I will be speaking several times, including delivering the final message at the close of the conference on Saturday evening. My focus will be understanding current trends in Israel, Iran, Syria, and the Mideast peace process in light of Bible prophecy. The pastor of Calvary Baptist Church has also asked me to preach during their Sunday morning services. There I will be focusing on Israel and key elements of Bible prophecy, as well.

To see the full conference schedule, please click here.

This conference will focus on the Bible’s account of the role of Israel and the Jewish people, both now and in the future. This event will also help you develop a deeper understanding of both current and future events in the Middle East as described in both the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament.

Even if I wasn’t speaking at the conference, I would be attending just to hear the caliber of the scholars who will be presenting. This will not be spiritual snack food. This will be meat and potatoes, genuinely in-depth Biblical teaching hard to find in a single conference.

The occasion is a CPM conference that will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Manhattan. If you live anywhere near Manhattan, I hope you will register today and join us. Yet even if you don’t live near New York, I’d strongly encourage you to prayerfully consider attending any way. It is that solid and important.

KANSAS BOOK FESTIVAL

Governor Sam Brownback and his wife, Mary, have invited me to speak about my novel, Damascus Countdownat an event at the Kansas State Capitol in Topeka, and I am honored to accept.

The event is the 3rd Annual Kansas Book Festival. It is free and open to the public, and will take place on Saturday, September 7th. I am scheduled to speak at 1:30pm in the House Chamber (details here).

I’ll be discussing why I wrote the book, and the latest developments and trend lines in Syria, Iran and the broader Middle East. The event will last about an hour, including Q&A, and will be followed by a book signing.

Governor Brownback and I first met and became friends when he served here in Washington, first as a Congressman, and then as a U.S. Senator. During his tenure, Brownback served as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s Subcommittee on Near Eastern and South Asian Affairs. He is a great friend of Israel and took a serious interest in issues related to Iran, Syria, Sudan, and the threat of Radical Islam.

“The 3rd Annual Kansas Book Festival will feature more than 25 locally and nationally-known authors who will give presentations throughout the day on their most recent books. The festival’s goal is to promote literacy and a love for reading among Kansans of all ages by hosting this day-long festival, awarding grants to libraries across the state and encouraging children to become writers through their annual writing contest. You can find more information, including the 2013 schedule, by visiting their website at www.kansasbookfestival.com.”

Upcoming events: I’ll be speaking in Colorado, the Adirondacks and New York. (Please register today.)

MA-logoWebSaveTheDate.inddAfter five weeks in Israel, I have just returned back to Washington, D.C. It was a fascinating time leading The Joshua Fund tour of 244 people from all over the world, hosting the 2013 Epicenter Conference, holding TJF Board meetings, and meeting with key government officials, Jewish leaders and Christian leaders.

By God’s grace, my family was able to join me for nearly four of those weeks. Now that we’re back, I’m hard at work on editing the latest novel I’m working on, set during the Holocaust in World War II. More on that in an upcoming post.

Meanwhile, I’m also looking forward to three specific upcoming public speaking opportunities and wanted to make you aware of them. I hope you’ll take time to learn more about each of these  exceptional events. Then please register today and join us.

  • August 8th in Denver – Topic: “The War Clouds Rising Between Israel & Iran.” — The occasion will be the annual fundraising event for Ministry Architecture, Inc., a ministry my parents (Len and Mary Rosenberg) started 13 years to provide architectural services for evangelical Christian ministries operating in developing countries who need orphanages, training centers, hospitals, and other facilities to show the love of Jesus. Before I speak, my folks will share about the exciting work God is doing through this ministry in countries such as Mexico, Nigeria, Zambia, Sudan, Romania, Haiti, Thailand, Turkey, Israel, etc. Then I will discuss the enormous economic and spiritual challenges facing the United States, whether we could face not just a decline but a collapse, and the prospect of a Third Great Awakening. And I’m especially looking forward to your questions as that is my favorite part of the evening! The event will take place at Calvary Chapel South Denver in Littleton, Colorado, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. Doors will open at 6:30pm. A contribution of $ 25 per person is requested to help support Ministry Architecture. Contributions are tax deductible. Registration is required, and you can register at www.ministryarchitecture.com. Please join us — I hope to see you there.
  • August 11-17 in the Adirondacks — Topic: “Rediscovering the Purpose and Power of Bible Prophecy” — The occasion will be the Word of Life summer conferences. I am one of three teachers that week, including Dr. Mark Bailey, president of Dallas Theological Seminary. If you and your family have never attended a Word of Life camp, I highly encourage you to come. They are so encouraging and refreshing and I absolutely love spending time in the Adirondack mountains of upstate New York, where I have so many fond memories from my childhood.
  • October 3-5 in New York City — Topic: “The People, The Land, and The Future of Israel” — The occasion is a CPM conference that will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Manhattan. Some of the leading theologians in the West on the subject of Biblical and prophetic Israel will be speaking. I am honored to be part of the event and I hope you will  register today and join us in October. For more details, please click here.

I’ll be speaking at the “Watchmen on the Wall” conference in D.C. on Thursday

watchmen-2013On Thursday, I will have the honor of addressing hundreds of pastors from all over the country for the “Watchmen on the Wall” conference in Washington, D.C. The conference is organized by the Family Research Council.

My friend Tony Perkins, president of FRC, has asked me to address the pastors on “The Church’s Call To Stand With Israel” and what The Joshua Fund is doing to bless Israel and her neighbors even as new war clouds are rising in the epicenter.

I’m not certain if the event will be webcast, but I’ll provide a link if it is.

Either way, I hope to post the notes of my talk later on Thursday after my session is completed.

In the meantime, please be praying for the pastors to be encouraged and refreshed during this conference. Pray that they would boldly preach the Gospel and carefully teach the “whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27). Pray that the Lord would use them to bring about a Third Great Awakening in this country, as well as show unconditional love and unwavering support for Israeli, Palestinians and all the people of the epicenter. Thanks so much.
