I support J.D. Winteregg, Boehner’s conservative challenger in Ohio. I urge you to help out if you can. Boehner needs to return to wherever it is he came from.

Politics: Harry Reid blames Russia’s annexation of Crimea on Republicans who didn’t act fast enough on a sanctions package. But he ignores Obama’s appeasement as president and push when a senator to disarm Ukraine.
The Senate Majority Leader’s latest claim is consistent with other utterances out of his parallel universe, including calling Stage IV cancer patients liars about Obamacare’s collateral damage and asking why we’d want to save one child with cancer.
“Since a few Republicans blocked these important sanctions, Russian lawmakers voted to annex Crimea, and Russian forces have taken over Ukrainian military bases,” Harry Reid said Monday as the Senate began debate on a package of sanctions and aid.
“It’s impossible to know whether events would have unfolded differently if the United States had responded to Russian aggression with a strong, unified voice.”
The man who makes Vice President Joe Biden look competent by comparison ignores the fact that since the House and Senate passed different versions, quick action on sanctions would have been impossible and that it was Reid and the Democrats who refused to bring up the House version as is.
The Senate version wasn’t a clean bill, having attached provisions that would increase the power of emerging countries in the International Monetary Fund and shift some $ 63 billion from a crisis fund to a general account that Republicans feared would leave U.S. taxpayers on the hook for more foreign bailouts.
Yet Reid directed blame to Republicans who had reservations about this Christmas tree, saying their delay of congressional action “sent a dangerous message to Russian leaders.”
We doubt that former KGB Col. Vladimir Putin, who considers the demise of the Soviet Union one of history’s great tragedies, cared much about Reid’s idea of sanctions.
Obama’s record of appeasement as both senator and president is all the encouragement that Vlad, the impaler of nations, needed. An American president who betrayed Poland and the Czech Republic on missile defense and vacillated on the Russian invasion of Georgia as senator lost Moscow’s respect long ago.
From Obama’s infinite number of red lines on Syria to his gutting of the U.S. military, Putin saw a weak, out-of-his-depth former community organizer who bowed to world leaders as he apologized for American excess. Obama would go on to cave to pressure and promise Russia’s leaders that he’d have even more “flexibility” to bend to their will after he was re-elected.
Putin no doubt remembers how in 2005 then-Sen. Obama pushed for the destruction of large amounts of conventional ammunition and weaponry for the Ukrainian military, based on vague assurances that the Cold War was over and the U.S. would provide a security guarantee.
As the Daily Mail reports: In August 2005, just seven months after his swearing-in, Obama traveled to Donetsk in eastern Ukraine with then-Indiana Republican Sen. Dick Lugar and toured a conventional weapons site. Meeting in Kiev with President Victor Yushchenko, they made the case that weapon stockpiles inherited from the old Soviet Union should be destroyed.
Sen. Obama pushed for eliminating 400,000 small arms, 1,000 anti-aircraft missiles and more than 15,000 tons of ammunition. “We need to eliminate these stockpiles for the safety of the Ukrainian people and people around \ world by keeping them out of conflicts around the world,” Obama said in an Aug. 30, 2005, statement from Donetsk.
So how safe are the Ukrainian people now, Mr. President? And any further comment from you, Sen. Reid?
Had the media been doing its job during the campaign for the governorship of New York, Andrew Cuomo would be a punchline, not a high-ranking official. Cuomo’s role in the housing meltdown — serving as Secretary of HUD for Bill Clinton — earned him the nickname “Architect of Ruin“. He was the nation’s foremost purveyor of subprime loans, using the force of law to compel financial institutions to disregard traditional underwriting norms and instead issue mortgages to those who could never repay them.
Cuomo is a radical Marxist progressive who believes in a single party, totalitarian government and admitted as much himself.
In [a] radio interview [public radio’s “The Capitol Pressroom” on Friday], Cuomo detailed what he sees as a “schism” in the Republican Party among an “extreme” faction and a “moderate” faction.
“Are they these extreme conservatives, who are right to life, pro assault weapon, anti-gay, is that who they are?” Cuomo said Friday. “Because if that is who they are, and if they are the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York. Because that is not who New Yorkers are.” …Later in the [interview], Cuomo said it was “fine” to be opposed to abortion and same-sex marriage, but that it’s “not the opinion of this state.” …
In other words, Cuomo took an oath to uphold the United States Constitution, but routinely spits on it instead.
He now claims he was misinterpreted.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s administration penned an open letter to The New York Post on Sunday, two days after the governor’s comments on “extreme Republicans” were heavily criticized by conservatives… The letter — posted to the governor’s website Sunday afternoon — claims the Post “distorted Governor Cuomo’s words” by claiming Cuomo told conservative Republicans to “leave New York.”
…”When you listen to the complete interview, it is clear that the Governor was engaged in a discussion on political campaigns and responding to a question about fundraising for his own campaign,” the letter reads. “He was talking strictly about the two parties and political candidates, and making an observation that far right candidates cannot win statewide elections in the New York because their political philosophy is not a reflection of the state’s electorate.”
Conservatives are extremists? Really?
No, Cuomo: it is you and the rest of the Marxist left that are the extremists. For it is you who are dismantling the nation’s highest law, bankrupting it financially and morally, erasing its borders by encouraging illegal immigration, partnering with terrorists like the Muslim Brotherhood, weakening its national security apparatus, and targeting your political opponents.
No, Cuomo: it is you and your party who are the radicals that threaten to destroy this country, just as you destroyed the housing market.
You are a disgrace and a menace to America.

QOTD: “U.S. border agent Brian Terry was shot on December 14th and died the following day, December 15th. That was the very day the Washington Post writers rolled out the administration propaganda that more regulation was needed to prevent drugs from crossing the border.
Drug cartels have aggressively turned to the United States because Mexico severely restricts gun ownership. Following gunrunning paths that have been in place for 50 years, firearms cross the border and end up in the hands of criminals as well as ordinary citizens seeking protection.
“This is not a new phenomenon,” Webb said.
What is different now, authorities say, is the number of high-powered rifles heading south — AR-15s, AK-47s, armor-piercing .50-caliber weapons — and the savagery of the violence.
Federal authorities say more than 60,000 U.S. guns of all types have been recovered in Mexico in the past four years, helping fuel the violence that has contributed to 30,000 deaths. Mexican President Felipe Calderon came to Washington in May and urged Congress and President Obama to stop the flow of guns south.
U.S. law enforcement has ramped up its focus on gun trafficking along the southwestern border. Arrests of individual gunrunners have surged. But investigators rarely bring regulatory actions or criminal cases against U.S. gun dealers, in part because of laws backed by the gun lobby that make it difficult to prove cases.
Who fed this poppycock to James Grimaldi and Sari Horowitz? Is the Washington Post the least bit concerned that it was used — and by whom? — to provide cover for this lunatic government operation and propagandize its gun grabbing ploy?” —Clarice Feldman
Here’s what should happen at the State of the Union speech. Since these men and women will not use the Constitution to defend this nation, since they will not use the Constitution to confront a lawless president, and worse yet, since they are funding his activities, these omnibus bills filled with all kinds of crap, what the Republicans should do is boycott the State of the Union. They should boycott the State of the Union so half of the House floor is empty.
Then they should get together and present their own case on the State of the Union and explain in an articulate and concise way what the State of the Union is, and how the president threatens this republic.
They need to do something bold that will get the attention of some of our fellow citizens, at which the media which will attack it but cannot ignore it.
If they’re not going to take a stand constitutionally and legally, they should at least take a stand on the steps of the Capitol or somewhere. Together. Shoulder to Shoulder. And say we have a lawless president doing lawless things and make their case to the American people.
It would be historic. It would be profound. That finally the opposition party demonstrates that it opposes not just the Democrat Party, but the destruction of this republic by this president and his willing dupes in Congress.
It will be interesting to see which Republicans consider this idea.
I know who won’t consider it: the spineless, useless, feckless, bought-and-paid-for hacks in the GOP leadership. Yes, I’m looking at you, John Boehner. And you, Mitch McConnell.
